Welcome to Orientation! We would like to acknowledge the land we are on. The Portland Metro area rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River. Today peoples from these bands have become part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz, as well as the Chinook and Cowlitz Nations. It is important to acknowledge the ancestors of this place and to recognize that we are here because of the sacrifices forced upon them. In remembering these communities, we honor their legacy, their lives, and their descendants.

This session will focus on the different ways students can get engaged with campus life at PSU. From student groups to student government, this session will help new students explore the possibilities PSU student life has to offer.
